Race Registration + Bag Drop Info

ALL COMPETITORS can register between 3pm - 7:30pm at the Bayleys Mackenzie office in Lake Tekapo. This is at the Mackenzie Room, The Godley Hotel, Unit B/2-4 Rapuwai Lane, Lake Tekapo.

HUNTAWAY competitors - we highly recommend all The Huntaway competitors register on Friday unless you are arriving in Lake Tekapo on Saturday morning. 

ON THE MORNING OF THE RACE YOU CAN ONLY COLLECT YOUR RACE PACK FROM THE RACE VILLAGE IN LAKE TEKAPO. THIS IS SITUATED ON THE VILLAGE GREEN NEAR THE LAKE FRONT.  

If you are registering on the day you will need to collect your Race Pack from the Race Village in Lake Tekapo at the following times:

Between 5:10am - 5:40am

Between 6:10am - 7:40am

Between 6:00am - 6:20am

Buses depart at 6:30am and will not wait for competitors who are running behind schedule. Make sure you allow plenty of time to register and get on the bus. 

If you are being driven to the start line please note it takes at least 30 mins to drive there and you need to be dropped off by 7:00am.

No Race Registration will occur at Godley Peaks Station for The Huntaway. If you are registering on the day you will need to collect your Race Pack from the Race Village in Lake Tekapo.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO RACE REGISTRATION OUTSIDE OF THESE ALLOCATED TIMES to ensure the process runs smoothly. These times allow for everyone to get sorted before each race begins.

You are welcome to collect race packs for friends/family.

"The Musterer's Rest" Aid Station will have a Bag Drop option. You will be able to leave a change of socks/shoes etc and any specific food requirements. If you are in the E Bike category, this is also where you will be able to leave your spare battery.

The Bag Drop option does not relate to The Merino race.

All bags need to be at the main Race Village in Lake Tekapo between 5:10am and 7:30am on Saturday morning. No bag drops will be done on Friday at Race Registration - only on race day morning. 

Staff will give you a label to attach to your bag. 

We will be bringing the bags back to the Finish Line at the end of the event. You will not be able to drive up to this Aid Station to collect your used bag. You will have to wait until the completion of the race where our crew will transport the bags back to Lake Tekapo.

• Bags to be of reasonable size please 
• Ensure your bags are of suitable quality and unlikely to rip
• Ensure all liquids and perishables are securely packed (we don't want leaking liquids or squashed bananas!)
