Race Day Schedule

If you need assistance on your start line on race day, Abe from Crank It Up Cycle Repairs will be there to assist you. 

Crank It Up will be at the Balmoral Café able to give you some assistance 'on the go'. 

6:40am  The Drover at the Race Village, Lake Tekapo.

7:45am The Muster at Godley Peaks Station, Lake Tekapo

8:15am The Shepherd at the Race Village, Lake Tekapo.

8:45am The Huntaway at the Race Village, Lake Tekapo. 

9:15am The Merino at the Race Village, Lake Tekapo.

7:00am  - The Drover 

8:00am  - The Muster  - Godley Peaks Station

8:30am  - The Shepherd  

9:00am - The Huntaway 

9:30am  - The Merino 

Each race will start with a 'bark off' with New Zealand's iconic huntaway dog. The shepherd will whistle and the dog/s will start barking. This is the start. You will then have 5 minutes to cross the start line.

The rolling race start is designed to allow a good spread of competitors right from the start of the race. Please position yourself according to your desired outcome  - competitive at the front, casual bikers towards the back.
